Elder Services Directory Introduction

The Elder Services Directory is designed to help people locate service provider organizations that provide services they need. A cooperative effort of the Florida Department of Elder Affairs and the eleven Area Agencies on Aging serving Florida's elders, the directory is intended to serve a wide audience including health and wellness professionals, social service providers, librarians, researchers, and especially older people and their families. The directory contains service provider names, addresses, phone numbers, and web sites addresses that are cross-referenced to available services types.

The Elder Services Directory lists many of the organizations in Florida that serve the special needs of older persons. The directory is organized in a manner that permits the user to select the type of service needed and the in which the service is needed. Based on the user's selection of service type and county, the directory matches service providers and availability of services related to the user's needs. It also provides the user with Elder Helpline telephone number for the selected county. Armed with information about the availability of various types of services in each Florida county, contact information for each of the organizations that provide related services, and the Elder Helpline, the Elder Services Directory assists elders and their families to make informed service decisions.

We welcome comments, suggestions, and additions for future updates to the Elder Services Directory. Please address your comments to information@elderaffairs.org.
